i think that they should so the other people dont really know that tey are spying them at all and then they might do some other things without us knowing.

Side: yes

yes i do think the government be able to secretly monitor suspicious individuals because to ensure the safety of our country.

I think in some cases that secretly monitoring suspicious individuals is ok. I don't have anything to worry about :] Really though, there are many people in this world that aren't who they claim to be. There are pedophiles in my neighborhood for crying out loud! My little sister; even myself! We're in danger. I'm scared to walk outside man! Foreal though, Real talk. Secretly monitoring someone sounds bad but it's actually a help, how else would the government catch these crooks? It's ok to a certain extent though, I wouldn't want someone watching me shower and all that good stuff. In conclusion, this is probably one of the only ways the government would catch and put up these wild animals :D

Side: yes

yes, because they could stop a lot of crimes and many any terrorist attacks. Also, just to be safe and to prevent bad things from happening.

Side: yes

yes it should be allowed because all though privacy is a big deal it's not priority like national security. but it shouldn't be like, "oh he has a beard and his skin is brown lets go tap his phones" it should be greatly investigated and a warrant would be needed, that isn't easily obtained.

Side: yes

The government should spy on suspicious individuals because it would stop certain crimes or find a suspect of a crime. Spying on people would keep a safer and crimelesss enviroment.

Side: yes

I think if there are suspicious individual out there, the government should be allowed to secretly monitor them.

so if they are about to do something illegal. the cops can stop them before its too late.

Side: yes
1 point

yes because what if they are terrorist and the U.S is in danger. The government need to protect in any way our country. If the person looks suspicious is for a reason.

Side: yes

I believe that the goverment should. The reason I believe so is what about someone was a bad guy. I would rather be safe then sorry. If someone was hiding something they can get caught because most records are clean.

Side: yes

i think they should because that way we could find out before they do something bad to the country or if someone is planing to attack a building like 9/11 we could stop them before so inocent people wouldnt die.

Side: yes
1 point

i think they should because its better to be safer than sorry, you never know what people are doing

Side: yes

I think they could probably do it to a certain exctent. i wouldnt want someone to be watching every move i make but if they are going to catch some pedifile then they can watched him all they want.

Side: yes

I dont think the should because if the person aint doing nothing than they are just invading their lifes.

Side: No
1 point

No, because what if they are monitoring the wrong person and the real person gets away with whatever they were planning.

Side: No
1 point

It deprives there right of privacy before the person is proven guilty for a certain crime that they are suspicious for.

Side: No
1 point

I think not because it violates rights and they could monitor anybody they want as long as they say they are in suspicious activity

Side: No
1 point

No, i don't think the government should be able monitor "suspicious" individuals. They shouldn't be able to monitor someone unless they have actually done something wrong. The government ends up wasting time trying to find a suspicious individual then they just wait for an individual to do the slightest thing wrong.

Side: No
1 point

No, everyone is allowed to have its own privacy, no matter what anybody else thinks about it

Side: No
1 point

no because the government will only be wasting their time monitoring suspicious individuals while the real people commiting crimes get away.

Before ranting about the positive outcomes of governmental surveillence, first consider this: What exactly determines who is a "suspicious individual", and who is not? Why are you so entusiastic about catching the bad guys when you could end up in a situation where you are completely oblivious to the fact that you ARE one of the "bad guys". Also, to "secretely monitor" should be thought more of as "invading privacy." Before supporting so much governmental control, think first about what our government so frequently goes to war for: Preservation of Freedom. Why support hypocracy?; Why let the nation fall into the grips of communism or dictatorship? The youth of America has been brainwashed by "The American Way". Not everything the government does is for the better.

Side: No

No, because it's immoral. Privact should be kept at all times. Unless the indiviual does something wrong the he or she should be investigated.

Side: No

It depends on who the goverment is "monitoring." I mean, if the suspicious fella is a terrorist, then yeah. If they're just watching everyday people for small crimes, that's retarded. Honestly, no matter what we say or do the government is going to do whatever they want to do. It could help for somethings, but no matter what, this corrupt goverment is going to do what they want. Nuff said
