I guess it would be okay, just as long as they don't over step their boudaries and completely invade a person privacy. It could probably help reduce crime.

yes because it is in the end going to protect the country but if they are going to watch people they need to act instead of just waiting till it gets too out of hand ...

Side: yes

yea the government should be able to secretly monitor individuals because they have stoped a couple of terist attacks that way and loads of lifes

Side: yes

yes because if they dont we might have another 9/11 happen and nobody needs to go through that pain or horror again. people are still living with that pain to this day and if the government didnt keep an eye on suspicious people then who knows what they could do and what kind of destruction they could do to this country.

Side: yes

yes i think that it would be okay because in the long run the government would be protecting everyone. I dont see anything wrong with as long as they do not over step it and do it to everyone just to see.

Side: yes

I think it would be alright if it ment that everything would be safer but at the same time the government shouldn't have the right to completely monitor your every move if it envades your privacy

Side: yes

I think they should, because we could be in danger if that person is a criminal or something like that.

Side: yes

It would be alright if they respect the individuals' privacy, but it definitely would help the nation by reducing crime!

Side: yes

If you have nothing to hide what is there a problem for them to listen to your conversations. They can find out whats going on where there is a crime that going and alot of people talk about it on the phone and emails.

Yes, I think the goverment should be able to secretly monitor suspicious individuals, because that way they can help keep the US safe.

Side: yes

yeah because if someone is actng suspicious then they need to on watch for them because they might be planning something very dangerous and can kil or injur many people,

Side: yes

yes, i think the govt should do that just to ensure that there is safety among the people in the country

Side: yes

I think yes, because if the goverment is suspicious about a person but with a good reason they should secretly monitor them.Only if the person shows signs and everyhting.BUt i also belive if the goverment has no reason what so ever they should not do such a thing like that.

Side: yes

No they shouldnt be able to secretly monitor other people who seem suspicious. How would they know who to choose to spy on? Just randomly pick? No one should have the right to spy on other people without knowing what their intentions are, unless they're a suspect of murder or crime or something that can hurt someone else. Thats invation of privacy.

Side: No
1 point

no because sometimes people get the wrong idea about things etc., people should be able to live freely in peace with no one watching over them, the gov't monitoring "suspicious" people is just contradicting what the meaning of freedom is and the USA is supposed to be all about freedom!

Threat or not its an invasion ofprivacy and could potentially harm someones well being

Side: No

This would be a huge violation of privacy. The government should only monitor suspicious individuals if they have evidence of some misbehavior that could harm other people.
