Basic Research for Glaucoma
Glaucoma is a group of ocular diseases that may lead to progressive retinal ganglion cell death and irreversible vision loss. Although our understanding of glaucoma is much more advanced than before, our understanding of its molecular mechanisms still requires a great deal of basic research to further understand it.
Ace Ophthalmology' research team consists of leading scientists studying the mechanisms of glaucoma and glaucoma treatment, and we collaborate in basic research, therapy development, and preclinical studies in glaucoma. The main areas of basic glaucoma research include genetics, genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and biomechanics of glaucoma. We are committed to conducting extensive research to better manage glaucoma and to provide possible directions for glaucoma treatment.
